Hi there!
Life has been hectic in recent months. Here are the
highlights:
-The church plant in French Guiana was formally organized
with a baptism of 8.
-The church plant in the border town of Albina was also
formally organized and has had an attendance of +- 70.
-My co-workers, the Davis’, left Suriname permanently June
15 after many last minute difficulties with their shipment
and tickets.
-Area Director Rick West arrived the same night for a week’s
visit and was a tremendous help to me during this time of
transition.
-I have been selling more furniture and delivering it,
trying to sell 2 mission vehicles (please pray for honest
buyers to come forward soon–I need to sell the pick-up truck
and Landcruiser), making repairs on the mission house and
renovations.
-Two weeks ago I cleared the last of my belongings out of my
rented house and moved into the vacated and freshly painted
mission house. The worst is now behind me although there are
still a few small things to be done.
-PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS: Kolonistenweg 11, Uitvlugt,
Paramaribo, SURINAME
Prayer requests:
-Quick and fair sale of the mission vehicles – having 3
vehicles in the yard attracts unnecessary attention!
-God’s leading and blessing on Sheena Grant and Gloria Cole
as they complete fund-raising and prepare to arrive in
Suriname early in August to begin their 5 month internship
for Bethany Bible College; that this will be a rich learning
experience for them and that their ministry here will be
mutually beneficial for the kingdom.
-Me as I travel to our extension site of the bible School in
Moengo (2 hours outside the city over rough roads) to teach
on alternative Saturdays.
-Me as I deal with the mission financial records in prep for
the Year-end Reports. Yikes!
Thanks so much! God bless!
In him,
