Speed Testimony: For most of my life, I hated the direction that my life was going and worried about the future. I married, divorced and then faced bringing up a child on my own. I reached a point in my life where I was bitter, afraid and alone. But, the most frightening of all was that I did not know what would happen when I died. Then I had a life-changing experience. As tough as life is at times, I know I never have to face it alone again. For the first time, I have something I have never known. I now have hope! God has blessed me with a wonderful family that I adore. However, the thing that I am most thankful for is that I no longer fear my future. For you see I know that I don’t have to be afraid. I can face my future because I know that I will spend eternity in heaven.
Most Embarrassing Moment: The time that I was one of four performers in a Pathway Easter production. Pastor Eric Hallet was in charge of introducing us. And this was my introduction - "and Laurie Coombs (my name at that time), The Adulterous". Pastor Eric and I both realized at the same moment what he had just said. We both stood there red faced but the show must go on. The following night was the second showing. Pastor Eric said he would introduce me differently. I asked him what he had come up with and he told me that he wasn't sure but it would be more appropriate. This time when I was introduced I heard “and Laurie Coombs, the Woman that God Forgave". Great job Pastor Eric.
